Green Valley Seeks Production Manager

Green Valley Enterprises (GVE) has a position open that is multi-faceted involving first the training and advancement of prevocational clients, satisfaction of external customers, and ongoing improvement of agency staff.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clear and unwavering vision for the employment possibilities of clients in his/her care, ensuring that they receive professional, compassionate, and effective care from assigned staff, with a focus on client training and development in a prevocational setting.

  • Serve as one of the agency's champions in promoting client development socially and in community employment settings.

  • Support OSHA and ancillary regulatory compliance in all departmental operations.

  • Act as lead scheduler and coordinator for production operations while maximizing the opportunities available for prevocational clients.

  • Manage work hours for optional staff to ensure an ongoing, 29 hours of less weekly.

  • Develop and maintain a continuous improvement mindset for self and staff.

  • Cultivate new customers and business opportunities for the client training operation, including the pricing of new work, and ensure their satisfaction with agency services.

  • Responsible for assisting in the annual budget process for your department; as well as meeting projected departmental budget.

  • Hiring , training, development and managing staff in your functional area.  

  • Ensures esafety training is completed by both staff, as well as, their staff.

  • Seek ways to share GVE's services outside of the agency.

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Knowledge

  • Four year degree in business, or a related applicable discipline which enables quality support and learning for individuals with a range of disabilities.

  • Three years experience in a related discipline or work setting with comparable complexity and challenge, with an emphasis on the development and support of subordinates and clients.

  • Knowledge re: effective marketing of the agencies subcontracting services via conventional, social media, and business networking methods.

  • Understand and apply business math to determine ricing and profitability levels.

  • Understand DOL rules re: commensurate wage program,: monitors status of same.

  • Valid driver's license: forklift experience helpful but not necessary.

  • Maintain a clear and absolute focus on client training, progress, and development.

  • Manage multiple priorities, organize well, delegate appropriately, cool under pressure.

  • Model high standards for performance and agency policy.

  • Show initiative in problem solving and resolution of work problems.

  • Effectively discipline employees when needed to ensure excellent unit performance.

Relationships

Reports to Executive Director; supervises a team of Client Learning Specialists and Production Specialists.  Works closely with management peers in the resolution of agency challenges.

Compensation includes a competitive salary range and benefits package.
